So are they right for everyone?

Our skin is attached to the muscles of the face. When these muscles become weak and slack, so can our skin.

When muscles are neglected and lack circulation the attached skin becomes deficient in vital nutrients.

Believers in this practice will tell you that regular facial exercise will plump-up muscles. Therefore plumping up the skin directly attached to it.

It also provides better circulation, a natural glow and may increase collagen production.

If you are leery of trying this you may feel more comfortable doing a more gentle facial massage.

This practice is also touted to be a great natural anti aging strategy for the face.

Here are a few General Guidelines ..

  • Always use clean hands on a clean face.
  • After cleansing the skin, apply an all natural or organic moisturizer. This is especially important if resistance will be applied to the face. If you are worried about breakouts, plain water may be used.
  • If the exercise calls for using fingers to manipulate muscles, use them to apply resistance, do not pull or tug at your face.
  • Use the soft pads of fingers and not the tips.
  • Don't do where there are breakouts of acne or other inflammations.
  • They should be done 4-6 days/week for the first month (all muscles need at least one day of rest). They can be reduced to 2-3 days/week thereafter.
  • Exercising the face is most effective when done in conjunction with facial massage.

So is it too good to be true? Only you can decide for yourself.

Believers don't claim they will give you the same results as expensive, plastic surgery and other invasive procedures.

However, the results they get combined with the money they save, have them laughing all the way to the bank...
