Eczema Photos and Allergy Rash
These eczema photos show one of the most common food allergy symptoms in babies and toddlers.

Here are eczema photos taken before we discovered my son's allergy to cow's milk. Because his older brother had

we were not surprised when this baby developed the eczema rash at about 3 months old.

We were taken aback by how severe and how often our baby's rash flared.
The eczema on his face is what really got inflammed the most. Although, he did have a lot of inflammation on his neck and behind his ears.
Symptoms of food allergies can also include chronic conjestion and trouble sleeping. He suffered with both of these.
With those food allergy symptoms in mind, I began to suspect more than just eczema. The doctor agreed and thought we might be dealing with a combined food allergy rash and eczema.
He recommended hydrocortisone cream and Aquaphor. This was a "big deal" since we are seeing a doctor that suggests
natural remedies
when applicable.
Because I am nursing him, I began a detailed food journal.
Noticing a correlation between when I consumed cow's milk and his flare-ups, I stopped eating dairy all together. After about a week, the eczema rash on his face began to get better.
A food allergy rash is most common on the cheeks of a baby. If the baby has eczema, inflammations can be triggered by offending foods.
The most common food culprit is cow's milk. Sometimes infants that are allergic or sensitive to cow's milk are also bothered by soy.
Now that his food allergy symptoms are better, I have gone back to using
natural treatments for eczema.

Important update!
It has been almost 8 weeks since the writing above. It has been confirmed (by a blood test) that our son has an allergy to cow's milk.
Unfortunately, he has some other food allergies as well. However the eczema photos on this page were taken when his condition flared due to the milk allergy.
We are hopeful that he will grow out of this. Wish us luck!
